Anna GÁSPÁR-SINGER

Anna Gáspár-Singer was born in Budapest in 1976. She holds a degree in Hungarian Literature and Communication, and also studied Italian Literature. In 2013, she began publishing short stories in prominent literary journals. Her first book, Valami kék (“Something Blue”) was published in 2019. Her novel manuscript of A hal feje (“The head of the fish”) received the Firgun Prize in 2022. Her main fields of interest are the absurdity of everyday life and the third-generation Jewish identity, which she approaches most ironically. She also works as a cultural journalist.
