Márton Gerlóczy was born in Budapest in 1981. He works as a journalist and publicist. His first novel, Certified Absence, was published in 2003 and immediately became a cult book. His novels reflect the absurdities of our everyday lives in a humorous and evocative way. He won the Book of the Year Prize in 2018 with his novel Anna Mikecs – Lullaby.
